What’s the range of installation services Mida Sign Services offer?

From site meetings, site surveys to installation of all types of signage, Flex- Face Signs, Banners, LED Illumination, Wall and Window Graphics. We also offer installation recommendations to our clients and Project Management i.e. booking in with Centre Management, completing Risk and Method Statements (RAMS) and completing all relevant paperwork, supplying Access Machines and other plant equipment as required.

Why do companies require specialist installation companies?

We are contacted because it’s either a large or tricky installation, multiple installations such as a company re-brand, nationwide Banner marketing campaign or simply an over-load of work that needs installing. We are able to help companies win larger contracts that they may have shied away from because it’s too large or complex. We can help manage the installation from a specialised one-off installation to nationwide roll-out programme.

What are the advantages of utilising Mida Sign Services compared to employing installers?

As a dedicated installation company, our strengths would be our in-depth knowledge of different types of signage and installation requirements. We have staff who specialise in various types of signage and graphic work. Having trained Engineers and a fully equipped van is costly, so it is cost effective to call upon the services of an installation company. Apart from not having to carry the cost of wages through quiet periods where there is little or no installation work, you can also take advantage of being able to use a company that has specialist knowledge in the type of installation that you require.

What should companies look for when choosing an installation company, e.g. location, reputation, qualifed staff and company affiliations?

Every contract is different and therefore requires different skills, for example the local corner shop just wants the sign installing at minimal cost and isn’t concerned how this is completed. When you get into the higher end of the market installation companies have to be a lot more professional, they must have the correct certificates for health and safety and staff training

A quality installation company will hold various accreditation and correct insurance cover and the staff will be properly trained with IPAF, PASMA, CSCS. As a professional installation company we are also Safe Contractor approved and are a member of The British Sign Association. Reputation also has a lot to do with the installation company you would chose. A company that has been around a long time will have the in- depth knowledge and experience to complete the contract. As mentioned before it’s not just about installing a sign, it’s about being professional, knowledgeable, experienced and competent, getting the information back to our client as quickly as possible i.e. photos, signed documents and paperwork etc.

How have you managed to stay ahead of the competition for over thirty years?

We have continued to succeed in this business, by changing with the times and adapting the services we provide. We upgrade our equipment and keep in-line with modern technologies to keep our company at the front of our trade. A growing percentage of our work is now installing Vinyl graphics, Wallpapers, Banners and not just signage. Over recent years we have had to take bigger steps as our customers are requiring more, by focusing on their needs and doing everything we can to meet those needs. Of course employing first-class staff with a good core of sign and graphic installers is key and some have been with Mida Sign Services for over

15 years.

By constantly delivering our services on time and on specification, we have ensured customer confidence and loyalty which has generated much repeat business.

How long have you been providing ‘Print’ for?

We have been producing print for our clients in excess of 10 years. Our services have grown from our first printing onto Vinyl to now using the latest printing technologies, giving us the skills to offer our Clients more products which now include direct to Substrate printing.
